You have probably seen plenty of athletes with tape on their shoulders, knees or back. Is it just for show or are there true benefits from wearing it?🤔 Kinesiology Tape (specifically RockTape) has many benefits! - Decrease pain ✅ - Decrease swelling ✅ - Improve proprioception/movement ✅ When the tape is applied it provides decompression by increasing space between the fascial layers. It relieves pressure from free nerve endings that are responsible for nociception (PAIN) =👇🏼in pain. The decompression also allows for better circulation = 👇🏼swelling. RockTape also helps improve proprioception by stimulating the sensory nerves in the skin and underlying tissues = better movement! 🤸🏽‍♀️🏋🏽‍♀️🏂⛷⛹🏽‍♀️🤾🏻‍♂️🏌🏽‍♂️🚴🏽‍♂️🧗🏽‍♀️ Traditional athletic tape is used primarily to limit movement/provide stability The goal of RockTape is to encourage movement. Motion is lotion for the body!! RockTape is SUPER sticky, it can last up to 5 days. You can shower 🚿, swim 🏊‍♀️ and sweat 💦 with it on. We can apply it on almost any part of the body to help decrease pain, swelling and improve movement.
